What I was up to

An overview of stuff I was working on or other stuff that kept me occupied in April 2019. Inspired by the movement of /now pages.

Projects

Work wise, there’s not that many things going on at the moment. I’m happy with some of the recent work at Boords. We’ve succesfully introduced Typescript to the codebase and have done some major refactoring of some parts of the frontend code. Some neat stuff lined up for 2019 as well.

I’ve also spent some more time on my generative music side project. Basically, I’m trying to teach my computer how to compose ambient music :). It’s a bit inspired by some of Brian Eno’s work (especially his album Reflection and his Bloom app, in collaboration with Peter Chilvers). I’ve been looking at re-introducing dynamics in terms of note lengths, and I’ve been tweaking some of the core mechanics of the app. I still have to publish a new version, hope to do that soon. Go to my SoundCloud to listen to one of the latest versions.
