What I was up to

An overview of stuff I was working on or other stuff that kept me occupied in November 2021. Inspired by the movement of /now pages.

Temperatures have dropped to below-OK levels here in Hastings (which is fairly mild compared to mainland Europe, but you know, still not ideal), and we are reluctantly accepting the loss of warmth and sunshine for the next few months 😉.

At Boords, we’re still working away at some bigger stuff that’s going to be released in the next few months. Can’t say much about it.

Where I find the time, I’m still spending it studying the subject of Sound Design. I’m following a course and otherwise studying, and I’m practicing by creating sounds myself. It’s a lot of fun. I’ve even made a mini-website for my sound design stuff with some demos of my work (I’d like to keep it off this website for the time being).

Entertainment

This month, we watched a bit of everything. Highlights are the The World According to Jeff Goldblum (which is very enjoyable), Monsters At Work, and Infinity Train. We’ve also continued to watch Star Trek: Discovery after a long break from it, until Paramount decided to pull it off Netflix from one day to the other, wow.

We also saw a movie in the cinema for the first time in forever (thanks COVID); The French Dispatch. My wife and I are big fans of Wes Anderson’s work, and we enjoyed this one a lot as well.

Books

After listening to Andy Serkis’s rendition of The Hobbit, We’re now listening to The Lord Of The Rings.
