What I was up to
An overview of stuff I was working on or other stuff that kept me occupied in December 2021. Inspired by the movement of /now pages.
December is fairly relaxed for us this year, and we’ve taken some time off to spend time with our families in Germany and The Netherlands.
At Boords, we’re still working away at some bigger stuff that’s going to be released in the next few months.
Entertainment
My wife and I played a decent amount of a game called Book Of Travels. It’s quite interesting in its approach, but not always very exciting, and still a bit buggy in its alpha stage.
We also played It Takes Two together, which is a more polished co-up game. We wish there was more like it. It’s really nicely made.
TV wise, we’ve been making our way through multiple things. Most notably, we’ve started watching Will & Grace (my wife remembered this from the past, and now we’re watching it together). It holds up surprisingly well in terms of wit and themes, although its handling of queer topics seems rather basic compared to what we’re used to in 2021. But that’s how it goes I guess, it’s still enjoyable.
We’ve also been re-watching Schitt’s Creek, HarmonQuest, finishing RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and Infinity Train.
Books
I read two books this month. We listened to Andy Serkis’s rendition of The Fellowship Of The Ring, and I also picked up the book Light Of The Jedi as a way of diving into some stories about Jedi (I am still, somewhere, a Star Wars fan). I feel mixed about that one, and disappointed.
