Projects
Work wise, I’m mostly working on the usual combination of small improvements and fixing bugs, but we’re also preparing the app for upcoming changes to european payment regulations. Some nicer changes will come after that.
I’ve picked up a new side project: For a while, I’ve been interested in the work of James Ryan and the simulation of a virtual town that’s part of some of his work. It simulates virtual inhabitants and their personalities, jobs, rivalries, relationships, and uses that to develop the town over time. I have grown quite an interest in these type of generative mechanics, so I’ve been experimenting with creating a similar thing for fun.
