What I'm up to

An overview of stuff that I'm working on, and other stuff that keeps me occupied.
Last update: October 2018

We moved to Hastings in August, and we're still getting settled after getting a shipment with some stuff we haven't seen in about three years (we've been either travelling or living somewhere where we didn't want to commit).

Work wise, there's not that many things going on at the moment. I'm happy with some of the recent work at Boords, we've been making some nice UX tweaks recently, and we're polishing the app as we go on.

I've also found some more time to work on some generative music. Basically, I'm trying to teach my computer how to compose ambient music :). It's a bit inspired by some of Brian Eno's work (especially his last album and his Bloom app, in collaboration with Peter Chilvers). The latest version can be found on my SoundCloud.

Things I liked a lot recently:

  • Mass Effect: Andromeda

I never had a computer that could handle this game, but I've been aching to play it ever since it came out (I was a big fan of the previous games in the series). I don't have a gaming pc yet, but since we've got a pretty nice internet connection I've been experimenting with game streaming service Liquidsky, which works like a charm for me!

The game is pretty great so far, feels a bit like home and it looks great.

  • Other Stuff:

Without elaborating too much, here's a small list of shows and other entertainment I've been enjoying recently

    • the Hilda animated series on Netflix
    • Summer Camp Island (new series by some Adventure Time alumni)
    • The Dragon Prince (animated series on Netflix)
